It is a great privilege to be the current guardians of such an historic place of pilgrimage as Our Lady of the Taper. Over the pilgrimage season many people are welcomed to the Shrine and enjoy the liturgy and hospitality that the parish are eager to offer.
Over the forthcoming Year, which marks the 40th Anniversary of the consecration of the new church, and the 25th Anniversary of the designation of the Shrine, there are a number of projects in progress to improve the grounds, building and the experience of pilgrims who travel to the Shrine.
Any donations you are able to make will be gratefully received.

Guild members are remembered especially in quarterly Masses celebrated at the Shrine and in the Rosary said before all Masses during May and October. This is an ideal special occasion gift.

Support the work of the Shrine
Over many centuries, the Shrine has been a place of pilgrimage, prayer and spiritual refreshment for many visitors to the area.
In this, our anniversary year, there are a number of projects being considered to improve the experience of our pilgrims.
Many of these improvements are already underway, particularly with regard to the grounds of the church.
With the help of generous donations already received, it has been possible to renovate the grounds, and with a most generous donation from the UCM, Wales, a new statue of St. Margaret Clitheroe will be installed, at a celebration Mass on the 4th July.

We would like to do more - alterations to the church are being considered to better integrate the Shrine , for example. New signs and faith tour information are also planned.
